My bar fridge does not get cold?

Please help my compressor/motor can be heard running but the poblem is the little fridge does not get cold! Do you have to refill these fridges with gas PLEASE HELP?

could be thermostat,or gas leak,if you turn thermostat on and off,you should hear a click,if you dont,then that is where your problem is
