I cleaned my oven and now when i switch main oven on it blows the main house fuses, does anyone know why? I have taken the element out and tested it away from the oven and checked the oven with no element in, separately they both work when I put the element back into the oven and switch it on the fuses blow after about a minute

everything is dry the element works out of the oven as does the fan and light the top oven and hotplates, it is only when you put element back into the oven and switch on that the fusestrip

when you say fuses do you mean trip?.This is likely to be wet in somewhere.probably the element.could be grill element or fan element.with a megga it takes seconds to test where the earth leakage is at the time it trips
