I would like to remove my outside siren in preparation for some building work,can I remove it without disturbing/activating the alarm.I have been given a quote from a alarm engineer for removal and refitment,but the price is more than the alarm is worth.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.thanks

To be perfectly honest,I haven't had any contact with that make of alarm to date.

I can tell you the outside sounder is fitted with Duel front and rear anti tamper protection,just like any other on the market.

In order to remove the sounder you will have to enter service mode.

1 make sure the system is in standby mode.

2 press UNLOCK

3 enter your user/access code.

4 press ENTER to enter test mode,.

The ARM and PART-ARM LEDs will flash.

5 press button 5 to toggle between SERVICE/NORMAL mode

6 LED 5 will illuminate

A wireless signal is sent to the outside sounder and the tamper circuit is disabled.

Remove the covers phillips screws,and remove the cover carefully,you don't want to damage the weather seal.

Remove the sounder fixings. job done.
