classic ideal boiler heatng wont come on?

i have an ideal classic boiler which i think is quite old as it still runs by the butterfly dial on with wall system. and recently my heating wont work. when you put heating on it doesnt ignite in the boiler? but my hot water is still workin fine? plz help!!

u either got a faulty room stat or motorised valve or possibly programmer u need A MULTIMETER 2 prove it but my guess wud b ur valve

If the boiler is working for the hot water and not heating then i would start at the thermostat then the pump.
