sweda model 46 wont power?

I just purchased a Sweda 46 and had to replace power cord which was in bad shape. Connected new grounded cord but register still won't power when hitting power bar or power penny row. There is another electrical component in the center covered by a plastic.cover that looks like a yellow battery, could it be a fuse? Also have the x and z key but not the other key or the receipt tape key. How can I get these keys. I appreciate any help. Looking forward to restoring this beauty.

The machine is driven by a 240v motor but some ( ex Boots the Chemists) had a 12v check plate on the motor will have type on itif its 12v hard luck!
When motor bar is pressed it makes switch points and cycle stop pawl drops to allow motor to drive main shaft via the gearbox.
Check the motor brushes under their white caps.
The register shoult turn over without power(try pliers on handle shaft on r/hand side of the machine)
The Sweda was the Rolls-Royce of cash registers and i spent many years working on them till the last on was built in 1976.
