How can I fix my Electrolux EWF 1087 washing machine?

The door on my Electrolux EWF 1087 washing machine will not open. Luckily I don't have any clothes in it but am unable to use the machine. Would love some advice please.

is the handle broken?.top off hand down front inside and with scewdriver release striker pin from door interlock.now check handle operation
