how can i fix clutch? rover 45 1600 cc petrol 53 plate?

burning smell and whirring noise when pressing clutch pedal now cant change gear what part or parts do i need and can i do it myself

It is a big job to take on if you don`t have a ramp,air tools etc but if you have patience and a bit of hard work then it is possible.I would buy a manual and it will give you an idea what is involved,it is false economy not to replace the three clutch parts when the g/box is out.
