bought silverline lance from amazon but does not fit . Rang for a new lance from Lidl but they want receipts now even if it a common fault

This is a known issue.
I received a replacement a year ago which also broke.
The replacement I got today is reinforced with extra ridges. This applies to the gun and the lance.

Try Silverline lance on Amazon. Good quality and was quite cheap. You'll need to check that it will fit first.
