How can i test the reversing timer on my creda 37747 tumble dryer?

if the drum does not rotate and you hear a buzzing noise i would s uspect a faulty capacitor on the motor or maybe the drum is jammed, unplug it remove the top and see if the drum rotates freely, if so i would try the capacitor its mounted on the motor
