I have to put new brush plate in the starter motor.
I have a July 2000 Diesel Estate LX TD 1.8
Do I have to remove the engine mounting to give me access to the 2 nuts securing the threaded studs?
I have undone 2 nuts and 1 bolt but the starter motor still remains in position held by another 2 nuts behind the engine mounting.
It is the original starter motor and has 185,000 miles on the clock.
