The glass filters (2) have been cleaned, new fuel cartridge elements fitted, new lift pump fitted but the fuel seems to be running back to the tank overnight. It take a lot of cranked to get started then the engine runs great. Any ideas please, how do I check this out and rectify? Fixed cab on horse-box.

did you fill the fuel filter with diesel before fitting? also check if the leak off pipes have not perished (from the injectors) as this will cause air to be drawn into the system when engine is off. also check fuel cap vent is not blocked it can cause a vacuum in the tank sucking fuel back to the tank. hope this is helpfull
