did you overtiighten it? you could try an easy out but if it is very tight then that amy struggle as it tends to apply pressure outwards onto the threads,another option is to drill part of the switch out gradually till you are just left with threads and have a tap ready with the correct thread to clean them up,depends if you can get a drill in between the head and front panel.
