if it runs ok for that length of time and has cut out on temp prob. many times you need to trace the break in the live power supply, this will come via the stat, if this supply is not coming and the fridge is running high on temp you must have an intermittent fault in the stat as it should close on temp rise, then it needs replacing, on the other hand if the compressor is getting full ac supply the problem is within the compressor motor or its electrics, if it has an external thermal overload it might be trigger happy and staying open circuit when hot, if so replace it.
