My friend put a tape cleaner in his old cassette player and noe it plays distorted sound.He was going to throw it out,but i would like to fix it.It is a Sanyo GXT 707a.Thanks,Gene
check the metal capstan shaft is clean, and there is no tape wrapped round the rubber pinch roller. if the latter is cracked , shiny or very hard it must be replaced.
