Tricity Bendix cooker SE553W?

The hob went bang and fused cooker. Replaced blakened control nob and went bang again sometime later after use. Now a second ring has done the same, both on the right side of the hob. Could this be the ceramic heater elements?

you have the switch and the ring so unless the wire is hanging off shorting it has to be an issue with one or the other
