If the fuel filter was renewed then I would have a look there.Would remove it,make sure all seals are fitted and located correctly and fill with clean diesel before putting lid on securely,also make sure air filter is fitted correctly.It may be possible that if it has a hand primer for the filter and it was operated then these can draw air eventually I think this depends whether you have an oval or a round filter fitted on yours.
