how can I fix my recliner it hasnt a brand name on it. ?

-yHow can I fix my recliner chair, it
doesn't have a brand name on it.I bought it last year in Nov. The foot release cable snapped and I bought the long end cable for it with square box handle. I would like to know where the S Hook hooks to on the mehcanism. Thank-you for your help?
