my mashine seems to empty and fill ok the detergent dispenser is funtional but the machine does not stop, i don't think it is putting in the correcty amount of water.

06 april 2008 and tipping the machine so it empties the water all over the floor and then re starting the machine still seems to do the job. thanks

I have the same problem, so I rang up Indesit (0870 60 70 805) and they tell me that A01 message is that the machine will "drain until empty + 1 minute" and probably means the machine has overfilled itself and the cutoff float is in operation.

The answer seems to be to tip the machine (so that the water in the machine goes over the floor) so that the float can drop down again.

Of course this may not always work.
