chiming fault?

i have a long case clock with westminster chimes. i think the hands were turned backwards & now chimes as normal but does not chime the hours after normal chime

The hour hand is on friction tight. Move it to reflect the number of strikes you hear on the hour. After that set the clock time by moving the minute hand.
