there is a gap around my plastic window frames how do I adjust the windows to get rid of this

Vertically hinged? Try lubricating the hinge mechanism. Mine were binding as they closed and kept the part nearest the hinge from engaging into the v shaped notch. There was then a gap between the window and frame along the hinge edge. Can't do any harm to try.
