Great site folks. I have a KDW 12ST3A kenwood Dishwasher last 8 years or so--its flashing E1 code lately while washing pretty OK. However it is now flashing E1--making grating noise and shuts down after 10 minutes or so. I jhave checked water supply to machine and filter on inlet pipe at back of machine and everything is OK--Any ideas??
Making a grating noise, would indicate something jammed in pump, You will have to turn it on its side or something, after unplugging. and check in all the pipes/pumps etc. Could be broken glass or similar, so be careful
