Stannah Chair Lift stops after moving about a foot. ?

Chair lift stops after it moves about a foot then stops. Switch it off and on and it moves about a foot again then stops. Will move in either direction and the chair will swivel once it reaches the top of the stairs. Any advice gratefully appreciated.

I would suspect dirt on the track, Sensitive equipment, needs to be kept clean, try cleaning the track.
