can you pleasetell me if i need to switch OFF the stair lift after each use,and also how does the battery get charged.please reply soon.

No, the chair should stop and be ok. If there is a beeping, there is no power to the unit . I'm assuming you have a transformer plugged in to an outlet.

Most lifts will charge while in th top or bottom parked position.
