Plug an appliance in to the socket ie a lamp or radio. Go to the fuse box and switch off the circuit breakers one at a time until the appliance goes off (it should be a 32amp breaker) when you have prooved it off take the screws out the socket plate then loosen the screws in the back of the socket, connect new socket to correct terminals that is red/brown LIVE.. black /blue NEUTRAL... green yellow EARTH. screw socket plate back on to wall and switch on circuit breaker. If you are not happy with just switching off the breaker suppling the socket, switch off the whole fuseboard at the main isolator but remember and check socket with an appliance before carring out work.
