what is the fault?

teka electric oven,all functions of the oven will not operate not even the oven light.there is power to the oven as the hob works fine.

My indesit oven when switched on at the main switch blows the fuse, you can see a flash at the back panel and when an electrician friend checked the wiring its looks fine. Any idea what the fault would be, the cooker is only 3 years old.

the hob is connected separate to the oven. pull out the oven by opening the screws on the side of the door. u will need to open the oven door to see the screws. then slide the oven out and see if the fuse is gone and also check the power connections.
