my thermostat does not come on on its own?

I have a siemens thermostat and I have to tap it to work, can it be fixed or do I have to get new one ,what a load of rubbish

May be sensor is faulty ,or dirty contact ,not repairable,replace it with good make Honeywell get replace what ever ,three wire or two for combi boiler
