check clutch lever on top of gearbox, they fracture where clamp bolt fits. also make sure the plastic part on pedal where cable is affixed to is also not broken.[if it is there are sometimes pieces of white plastic on floor below pedal]

clutch cable adjusted ok,earlier models auto adjusted,later-hex key adjuster at pedal,clutch release forks were bad for stress fractures,check for cracks,centre plate in correct way?
