How can I open my Bosch 18V 2.6Ah Ni-MH Battery? ?

Hi I have 3 of the above batteries and all of them seem to be dead according to the light sequence on the charger. I thought I would check the cells of the battery by opening the pack, however I'm struggling to open it. It has 5 holes for screws but only 4 are security screws. The 5th one is like a black plastic blank plug. Does anybody know how to remove this in order to open the pack?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Hamish

If the batteries have been left totaly drained for to long, they are dead. To long is anything longer a day.
This hold for ALL Li-ion or Li-MH batteries.

If left unused for several months, they will slowly loose their charge. After about 6 months, the remaining charge become criticaly low. You must put them back in the charger.

If it's a Ni-Cd battery, it needs to be totaly discharged before you recharge because of it's memory. Those can be left drained.
