Technics SL-PJ27 CD-Player - still jumps?

Ive had this Technics SL-PJ27 CD-Player for some time now, 15yr , I did have it fix with a new cd laser and but it still jumps from time to time ... do you think it may be the laser was not put in right or maybe some other thing making it still jump. ?

I would say 98% ok, time to time may jump/ miss etc.

The fault symptoms you describe appear to have more to do with the media than the player.

The player seems to be working fine most of the time but the jumping fault is variable - it comes and goes. The CD disks you play are variable.

When it next jumps put the disk to one side and play it several times over. Make a note of where the jump happens. Examine the playing surface.

Good luck...
