how can i reboot my pc?

I removed a perfectly working hard disk inorder to
replace it with a bigger 40GB hard disk now after installation i have set the BIOS and tried to load windows by inserting into
the d:drive.
Disk boot failure please insert disk comes up?
Don't know what to do next?

first of all make sure the jumper setting in the new hard drive are set to master. Also check the Boot Sequence and make sure teh first boot device is the CD/ROM. and if that doesnt work it might be your disk, make sure it is a bootable disk!!

put the disk in and then switch it off and back on, a messgae should say setup is inspecting your system or press any key to continue i cant remember, good luck anyways!

Check the Boot Sequence and ensure the first boot device is the CDrom drive. If it's the hdd you'll get this error
