I recently won a Mistral Electric kettle in a Raffle. When I go to lift the lid I get a slight burn from water coming from the lid when I am holding the handle of the kettle. I cannot say from where it was purchased, or what date. Can you help me?

Hi.
Are you over filliing the kettle? Some of them really don't hold that much water. Boiling water will bubble and splash up. Check to see if there is a fill level indicator inside.
