Hotpoint FDF780 dishwasher, the start/pause button flashing?

Hi, I have a Hotpoint FDF780 dishwasher which is showing the start/pause button flashing green, but will not start the cycle. ( for info - I had paused a cycle to remove something - but it would not restart ). Any thoughts ? Thanks
