I did a scan of my freeview and it wiped the whole thing ive tried scanning it to get the channels back about ten times and its still not finding any channels what should I do?

Be sure that you're trying to tune in Digital Channels (DTV) rather than Analogue - I think in the UK all analogue channels have been switched off. You might need to tell your TV what you want to watch - what signals you wish it to process ATV/DTV.
