old batteries 18volt?

I have a electric drill and the batteries will not hold a charge is there anything I can do to bring life back into them

Tips on prolonging the live of your batteries. Apply to ALL Li-ion batteries.

NEVER EVER let them totaly discharged for any lenght of time.
Any total discharge will affect it's life span, and to long in that state will irrevocably kill them.

Don't recharge to often. Wait untill the charge is under about 10%. They don't like short charge-discharge cycles.

When in storage for a long time. Check the charge every 6 months. Recharge if the charge is to low. They have some leak current that cause the charge to slowly fade over time and can result in a total discharge.
