Potterton EP2001 Central Heating Programmer Fault?

Programmer is in off position but Hot Water is being supplied to the tank. Only way to switch off hot water to tank is to switch off the 240v power supply to the system. Moving programmer through all modes has no effect.
Please advise solution.

look like contact are dirty just spray WD40 on slider do up down few time until dirt clear ,turn power off before should be OK
