Replace Stannah 260 stairlift batteries?

Can anyone tell me the correct procedure for replacing the batteries in the stannah 260 stairlift please.
These are the batteries in the seat not the remote

Is there a leaflet or similar describing where the batteries are located and how to replace them.

I know what rating I need and where to buy them, I just don't want to make a simple mistake that I may overlook or don't know about when changing them out.
Thanks

To peter Connolly , I have same problem, changed batteries, charger working, but it won't stop beeping, did you get an answer to your question please, Kim weaver,

Hey I replaced the batteries but I keep getting a beeping sound when turned on. i've checked the charger and it is working, I've checked at the top of the rail with a volt meter and it is receiving a charge. Why is the chairlift still beeping which means that the batteries are not charging. Is there a reset button or a way to reset the circuit board? Thanks

make sure when you start replacing the main carriage batteries your lift is off the charge point and most important you turn the isolator switch off front of carriage/below seat pad as this protects the whole lift shorting.......your batteries 2 x 12v/7.2 amp are behind the side cover of main carriage left or right hand side..remove 2 x phillip head screw fixings bottom of cover and remove/unclip from carriage once you see batteries a zinc metal plate holds them in place, you remove this by holding up spring top plate at the top and pull battery holder out at a angle[make a note of your batteries wire terminal connections,,black/negative and red/positive + later models had a inline fuse holder +to-].....reverse the procedure any problems let us know ..p.s do not forget to turn that isolator switch off.............portsmouth/uk

thanks mm. Yes I know where to get the batteries cheaply. I'm looking for any procedure for actually changing them, and any pitfalls I need to look out for.
