how can i bypass my immobiliser on p reg escort 1800 turbo diesel?

ive been told to take off plate on back of diesel pump ,take away immobiliser wires cut main solonoid wire and connect to ignition to starter wire is this true.

yes its true, or use any live wire close to the pump when you switch on the ignition so the immobiliser has a constant live
