Trying to take the top off my Hotpoint WF860 ?

Hi there

I am trying to take the top off my Hotpoint WF860 Washing Machine and proceed to replace the door seal. I have removed the two screws at the back but the top still won't come off and I am worried in case I damage the front controls if I force it. Any suggestion most welcome ... thanks .

oh and the later hotpoints have two screws on the side of the worktop at the front under a small plastic cap remove these and as peccavi hassiad slide the worktop toward the rear to remove

it will be for this guy if he cant even get the top off ,some hotpoints have two screws others have three replacing the tsg is not a hard job (tsg)
tub shell gasket as we called it in hoover be sure to remove the plug from the power source before you work on the machine

W/M tops usually slide to the rear and lift off.
