The machine will accept a command but will not carry out the command. It starts the cycle or rinse or spin or drain but stops after a few seconds and flashes the pause button and unlocks the door. Sometimes the cycle will run but no longer than 10 15 mins or so.

dryer element down to earth?.disconnect the dryer element wiring and see if the wash cycle then works normally.Insulate all the connections when you disconnect the dryer element or it will go BANG!
