how can i fix my ford galaxy 2004 6 cd changer 5000rds?

hi, please could anyone help with a problem with a 6 cd changer . its has a message no cd or just say error and switchs back to the radio.i have had a new lazer in the changer, but still does not work. any help with this would be very welcome,thank you.

they are so cheap from breakers or Ebay that you might as well cut your losses and buy a replacement unit John
