There has been some success with this fault by uploading the software to it via a PC and RS232 cable.
The bush is the same box as the Wharfedale internally. You may find this thread useful.

You can find a link to a suitable software file and instructions at http://www.vestelpvr.futaura.co.uk/T845.php - although this is a pretty old release now and with the demise of TUTV you will probably not be able to get anything more recent. But compared to some of the newer versions this is an improvement!
