okey....i got this new mp3 player for x-mas and it was workin fine and then this one time i tryed to turn it onand it was workin fine then it would say "starting...." and wouldn't go to the songs but it would just turn itself off! and its beggining to bugg me!!! I NEED HELP!!!!

Similarly, mine does the same. Actually, mine appears to be movement sensitive because it says 'Starting...' with an hourglass picture sometimes when I pick it up. Very strange... and very irritating. Help please.

I had the same problem which goes away if you:-

Plug the player into your PC USB Port (with the PC switched on)- leave for an hour or so.
Remove player & insert new battery,and hopefully this will do the trick.
Its probably that the player needs a trickle of charge from the PC as well as the AAA Battery to help store the songe.
