Changed grill element cooling fan stays on? ?

I own a Moffat MFS 620X. The grill element failed which I changed. When I powered the cooker on again I noticed the cooling fan is on and will not turn off. As you probably know there is a thermostat on one of the holding nuts of the element. I thought I had damaged this switch so I replaced it, but the fan remains on. Any ideas what the problem may be.

Sounds like incorrectly re wired after grill replacement. The stat for the cooling fan is the only switching mechanism for it so when the stat is cold it should be open circuit and no other way the fan can be fed. trace the wire back from the fan and make sure it is on one side of the stat and not on a grill terminal.
