where is the fuse box on an opel astra njoy 2003 5 door?

my cars remote central locking wont operate from the key remote even though the L.E.D. light on the key remote is lighting.the car is an opel astra njoy,5 door saloon, 2003.i dont have the owners manual for the car so im not sure if the problem is with the remote units batteries or if a fuse has blown.i cant find the fuse box to check the fuses.can anyone tell me where the fuse box is hidden please and also if this problem could be caused by anything else?

Hi You need to switch on the ignition and hold the button down the button on the remote key this will actuate the locks up and down it should work after that.

I don't know if you still need an answer to your question but even the less I will answer it for you. I have the same car as you do. The fuse box is located directly above the left knee of the driver seat. Open the small compartment and you remove it using a screw driver. Once removed you will see the fuse box hiddent behind it.
