Fisher & Paykel MW512?

My machine keeps beeping and showing an error code of 100000010. What is this problem and how do I fix it please?

It had some green gunk on the LH side of the plug which I removed from both the F and M surfaces as well as repeating for the whole plug. Sprayed with contact cleaner and poked small screwdriver with cloth to get any lumps out. Sprayed again. Reassembled.

That is total BS from F&P. Both the module and the RPS are available. What is the full model number & product number from the label on the back of machine. I will look up the part for you. What exactly have you tried? Was there any corrosion? Did you fit a new RPS? The main control module can cause the fault but would be the last thing to do. It would be very unusual. Where do you live i.e. what town & what country?

Hi there, After doing the above, I am thinking the module needs replacing. F&P tell me the part is obsolete. Suggestions & cost?

Cheers Dave

WOW man, that is an excellent plan of attack for tomorrow. I see your point. Regardless of result, is it possible to contact you via email directly? Cheers Dave

That is error code 130. Which is an intermittent fault with the RPS (rotor position sensor) That is a small electronic device mounted on top of the copper winding (stator) of the motor. It sends signals to the main control board to tell it the position and speed of the motor. Usually caused by corrosion building up on the contacts of the wiring harness plug. Lay machine down on the front face. Put a towel or mat down first to protect the paint. Remove the rotor bowl by unscrewing the centre nut anti clockwise. Then loosen the 4 hex. bolts holding the stator about half way. Pull stator down & unplug harness from RPS. Check inside plug for green corrosion. Scrape the contacts with a small screwdriver to clean them. Spray with contact cleaner. Put back together & try running it. If no corrosion found or problem still exists then replace the RPS with a new one.
