engine warning light on peugeot 207?

my engine warning light came on after 5 min drive saying it is over heating..
water and oil is ok..
started car after 2 hours same light came on and fan kicked in straight away.
what is wrong with it..

It is impossible to say what is wrong until it is put onto a correct computer to look at fault codes/live data to determine where your fault lies,could be a faulty temp. sensor but that is guessing and guessing on modern motors can be a very expensive business.
