how to install an instrument cluster on a 2005 Saab?

The temp gauge pegs at max. I got a used instrument cluster but the engine won't start with it installed. How do I get it to work?

My guess is the new cluster is not inter changeable and you have immobiliser problems,the only way is to get it onto the correct computer to have a look at the faults and conflicts stored in the engine and body ecu's
