How can I fix my F&P MW512NZ washing machine that wont spin?

My Fisher and Paykel washing machine runs through all cycles until it gets to the final spin cycle and then it starts to sound like it is spinning but doesn't and an electrical burning smell occurs.

I have replaced the rotor position sensor thinking that this was the case but wonder if it is infact a motor issue or perhaps a control panel issue?

Can you please help me???!

You could spend half your life plus a small fortune in wasted money buying wrong parts if you go on guessing and wondering if it might be. The only way to be sure is using the correct tools i.e. multimeter and RPS test meter etc plus the knowledge of what to test & how. You then test & examine each part and eliminate that part as being faulty. The only easy part you can check is take out the copper stator and visually check for signs of over heating or burning. Do the same with the drain pump. If you have a multimeter the drain pump resistance should be approx. 33.5 ohms and the stator 32 ohms between each of the 3 windings. Apart from that call out an expert and let them check.
