bmw 318.Cd stuck in the player?

I have a 6 cd changer cassette and one of the cd's is in the player buy the display in the car is not recognising that the cd player is even attached. When pressing the mode button on the stereo consolethe display only switches between radio and tape no cd.

either your bus cable is not connected, your power cable is not connected to the player and radio, or the separate fuse to your cd player is blown
