washing machine tripping all electric sockets!!!??! help!!?

i woke up this morning to no electric in house then realised trip switch was down i turned off all items and finally thought id found the culprit as my iphone that was on charge would not power on and only vibrate later i found that my washing machine was actually the true culprit and i tried changing the socket i pluged into and this did the same thing, i then tried changing the fuse but this didnt work i get no power at all to the machine and as soon as i try and plug it in again the whole house electric trips!!!!---DOES THIS MEAN A COSTLY REPAir on machine ?? OR DO I GET LANDLORD TO CHECK ELECTRICS??? woman alone with 2small children please help!!!!! thank you for reading x

If the trip goes when you plug the machine in but before you switch it on, then the most likely cause is a faulty mains input suppressor. This is the part the cable goes into on the machine. Part is only about £15 but of course a call out will be more.

Who owns the washing machine?

The electrics appear to be working as they should - the washer seems to be the culprit.
